Estamos cerrando los últimos detalles. Las conferencias de Linux ya están confirmadas y este año va a ser muy interesante. Tenemos dos frentes abiertos muy interesantes: la promoción del software libre y por otro lado la defensa contra los que no les interesa nada ni lo que significa el software libre y mucho menos todo lo que le rodea. Cada vez hay más intentos de parar lo imparable.
Internet nació con el objetivo de compartir y comunicar a la gente y esto ha sido el medio perfecto para la revolución que se ha producido en el mundo del software libre. Esto esta cambiando el mundo pre-internet y algunos se resiten e intentan limitarlo. No tienen nada que hacer y todavía nos queda por ver las verdaderas herramientas para hacer todavía más potentes la comunicación y las formas de compartir conocimiento. Atentos al programa de conferencias sobre todo el martes y recordar que a las conferencias puede asistir _todo_ el mundo.
Seguiré contando todo lo que pase en esta campus.
Llevo dos días jugando con un segway y aunque esta claro que no va a ser el futuro del transporte, sin duda es el primer paso y un buen test de muchas tecnología. Si no hay apuestas innovadoras no se avanza o se hace perezosamente. Y esto ha pasado sin duda a la industria tradicional del software. Definitivamente el software libre tiene muchas cosas en común con el segway y ya son la semilla para nuevos proyectos de innovación.
Mientras tanto y sin ánimo de que os de mucha envidia os mando un video de primer viaje con el segway. Por cierto se tarda 35 segundos en aprender un buen objetivo para nuestros interfaces. El video del segway está aquí.
y todavía no he leido un documento que no sea interesante. Os recomiendo a todos
que les déis un vistazo por que no tienen desperdicio.
Hace un año hablando con uno de los responsables del MIT en la campus-party me
comentó que estaban muy preocupados por que la innovación y las
iniciativas se estaban alejando del MIT y en general de EEUU.
Parece que se están poniendo las pilas y esta recopilación es una
muestra de ello. Hay documentos de bastantes universidades de fuera de
los EEUU.

En una reunión que se celebró el lunes en Sevilla decidierón usar el modelo de componentes desarrollado por Ian Murdock. Este paso es muy importante para economizar recursos, estandarizar módulos y sobre todo que todo el mundo pueda reutilizar este esfuerzo en tiempo real.
